I shake my head in disbelief that this board president and this school board would even consider such a proposal as to investigate "rumors" from a past election. Such a move would be nothing but a political witch hunt, as Mark Stern observed.

Stern's rebuke to this board was justified. He interjected much-needed common sense, and brought the focus back to where it should be: the needs of the district and the serious problems it faces, its bleak financial situation foremost.

For the board to waste time running down rumors, and threatening possible legal action, would be a waste of time and would do nothing to unify either the board or the residents of the district.

Mark, will you now go before Congress and tell them what their job is because it has become very obvious, they don't have a clue!

The record desperately needs to be set for these pompour overly important liars. I am not picking a party, I just want facts and it would seem that is a missing part of our representatives in both house and senate.

Please, speak for Americans as passionately as you do for our wonderful children. If we educate our children now, they will know how our government is operated and will make informed decisions.

Right now, I feel "stupid" is the way most Amerians are leaning as they don't know how to look up facts, think for themselves or understand common sense. I applaud you with all my heart.

thank you, mark, for standing up and speaking about something a lot of us were outraged by. the school board has much more to do than sit and gossip about rumors. the intent to intimidate was obvious at the meeting when board president john wood talked about it in his president's report (with lisa wright snapping away at the newly elected members of the board). very inappropriate. as inappropriate as showing up to speak for one of the incumbents who couldn't make it to the televised voter's forum. once known not to be the candidate, he was told to stop but he continued on, racing to finish what he was there to say. shocking.

I'm proud to know Mark Stern. His willingness and ability to "set the record straight" is inspiring, comforting, and motivating.

Thank you, Mark, for all you do to promote responsible government and excellence in education. You're terrific! :)
